My Freshman Year
While I was reading "My Freshman Year", I found many parts that I could relate to, even though the narrator was just observing and taking notes on the freshman around her. In the narrator’s Welcome Week”, she felt very overwhelmed by all different kinds of information thrown at her so quickly. During our Welcome Weekend, I felt just about the same way with all this information about campus and clubs thrown at me. It was an overwhelming weekend. Another thing I connected to was seeing all of the pictures in a person’s dorm and thinking that was how they represented themselves. While we were doing the first part if our clue assignment, I also noticed all of the different pictures students had in their dorm rooms and also thought that was how they represented themselves.

On Ethnography
In "On Ethnography", I didn't have as many connections to the story as I did for "My Freshman Year". Maybe that could because I am now a freshman in college, but not an ethnographer. The one thing I did connect to, though, was how Roger has had to practice for a long time to really master juggling. With me, I have had to practice over and over again, just like Roger for my band. If I really wanted to master playing something, I had to play it over and over again to fully grasp it.
